Job summary

HDR is seeking an Engineer in Training/Coordinator to join our Transportation Business Group. You will collaborate with project engineers on the design of urban and rural roadway projects, focusing on alignment, profiles, drainage, and cost-estimated plans.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and an EIT certificate, with proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD and familiarity with Bentley/Autodesk road software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate required.
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity with highways/roads software such as Bentley ConceptStation and OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3D.
  • Active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team with project engineers on detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
  • Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, and development of plans and construction estimates.
  • Assist with creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

  • Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Road design experience preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
