Job summary

Volkert is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead roadway design projects in the Southeast Region, based in the Tampa, FL office. The role oversees design staff and coordinates project activities, while ensuring client satisfaction and regulatory alignment.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of industry experience, FDOT design proficiency, and a PE license. Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of progressive responsibility within the industry.
• FDOT roadway design experience and standards.
• PE license is required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Provide plan review and project management for Southeast region projects (FL-GA).
• Organize activities, schedules, and reporting for assigned projects.
• Prepare, issue and track contracts, change orders, and client sign-off.
• Prepare correspondence with clients, vendors, and regulators.
• Prepare invoices and communication with outside resources.
• Lead a project team and provide technical and administrative support.
• Market new and existing clients and work with FDOT and local municipalities.
