Job summary

ICE in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior Roadway Engineer / Project Manager to lead roadway design and PS&E delivery for FDOT and local agencies. You will manage projects from concept through final PS&E, supervise design staff, coordinate disciplines, and maintain client relationships.

The ideal candidate has a PE in Florida, 10+ years of roadway design experience, FDOT project background, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active PE license in the State of Florida.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive roadway/highway design experience delivering PS&E.
• FDOT roadway design knowledge and familiarity with FDOT standards and workflows.
• Experience with geometric design, traffic coordination, and utility coordination.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer; FDOT CAD standards experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager and Roadway Design Lead for local and FDOT projects.
• Manage design projects from concept to final PS&E delivery and manage schedules/budgets.
• Develop roadway plans, specs, quantities, and supporting design documents.
• Coordinate with drainage, structures, traffic, utilities, environmental, and survey disciplines.
• Review calculations, plans, and estimates for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff; maintain strong client relationships.
• Support growth of ICE's transportation practice in Florida.
