Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Civil Construction Intern to support inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer projects. You will gain hands‑on field experience under the guidance of Project Engineers and Project Managers.

The role requires pursuing a Civil/Construction Engineering degree (ABET‑accredited) with familiarity in ArcGIS, MicroStation, GeoPak, or AutoCAD, and strong communication skills. Field work and mentorship are core parts of this internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university (EIT preferred)
• Experience working on field projects is a plus
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or AutoCAD desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills; able to work within budgets and schedules
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Responsibilities

• Support inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer construction projects.
• Provide hands‑on field experience and learn from engineers and project managers.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Managers on active projects.
