Job summary

Garver is seeking a Transportation Intern - Roadway in Frisco, TX to join our Highway Transportation Team. You will assist with plan preparation and design, gaining exposure to highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage design.

You'll learn DOT standards and industry software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, CulvertMaster/FlowMaster, while collaborating with a proactive team. The Garver Launch program offers networking, wellness, volunteering, and development

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in plan preparation and design by working with our team on highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs.
• Become familiar with relevant DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Learn and utilize design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
• Be a strong team player and a contributor to the design team.
