Job summary

Creighton Manning, a GAI company, is seeking a Highway Design Intern to support planning, design, and development of transportation projects in Albany, NY. You will work with engineers to prepare roadway alignments, profiles, drainage designs, and traffic plans using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

The role provides hands-on experience in highway reconstruction, widening, and complete streets projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Interest in transportation engineering and roadway design.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of highway design plans and construction documents under supervision.
• Support roadway design tasks including alignments, profiles, drainage, and traffic plans.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and basic analyses.
