Creighton Manning, a GAI company, is seeking a Highway Design Intern in Albany, NY. Under experienced engineers and project managers, you will assist with highway design plans, alignments, profiles, drainage, and supporting documentation using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

You'll collect data, perform basic engineering calculations, prepare drawings, and participate in field visits and project meetings while developing your transportation engineering knowledge.

Formación

• Interest in transportation engineering and roadway design.
• Working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with preparation of highway design plans, details, and construction documents.
• Support roadway design tasks including alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading, drainage, and maintenance and protection of traffic plans.
• Perform engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs.
• Collect, review, and organize field, traffic, and other project data.
• Prepare drawings and supporting documentation using design software.
• Assist with project reports and cost estimates.
• Participate in field visits and site investigations.
• Attend team meetings and coordinate with engineers and planners.
• Assist with permit applications and coordination documents.
