Job summary

Garver is seeking a Transportation Intern - Roadway in North Little Rock, AR to assist with plan preparation and design within our Highway Transportation Team. The role focuses on exposure to highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs while mentoring by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and responsible individual.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in plan preparation and design with the team.
• Become familiar with DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Learn and use design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
• Support the team to become a key member of the design group.
