Job summary

Garver LLC in North Little Rock, AR is seeking a Civil Engineering Transportation Intern to support roadway design projects. You'll train and work with our Highway Transportation Team to gain hands-on experience in highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs.

This in-office internship offers exposure to DOT standards, mentorship from experienced engineers, and opportunities to learn software and industry practices while developing teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong interest in transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and responsible.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in plan preparation and design alongside the team.
• Familiarize with DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Learn and use design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads.
• Contribute as a strong team player on a productive design team.
