Job summary

gpac is seeking a Civil Roadway/Transportation Design Engineer to lead the planning, design, and development of transportation and roadway projects from preliminary concepts through final construction documents in Atlanta, GA.

The role requires collaboration with project managers, surveyors, utilities, contractors, and public agencies, delivering safe, code-compliant improvements while mentoring junior staff and supporting schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in roadway/transportation design.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads.
• Familiarity with AASHTO standards and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design roadway and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare roadway plans, profiles, and drainage layouts.
• Develop alignments, corridor models, and earthwork quantities.
• Coordinate with utilities, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Review survey data and prepare permit documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project schedules and budgets.
