Job summary

Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist to perform roadway design activities under supervision. You will review studies, prepare plans, and assist in scoping and budgeting for projects in the ADOT Five-Year Highway Construction Program, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

The role may offer remote work within Arizona and involves coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality highway design documents.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field is required.
• 1–2 years of highway and roadway design experience.
• Knowledge of ADOT guidelines and roadway design standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadway designs, construction plans, and details per design guidelines.
• Represent Roadway Design in team meetings; monitor scope, schedule & budget.
• Prepare earthwork calculations, cross sections, design calculations and estimates.
