Job summary
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) seeks a Transportation Engineering Specialist to operate the Pavement Management System, manage data quality checks on vendor data, and assist in Asset Management planning statewide. This role reviews plans, analyzes cost estimates, interprets data to predict performance, and writes SQL scripts for life-cycle analyses.
The position offers statewide technical support with potential remote work within Arizona based on performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- PE license or EIT preferred for professional advancement.
- Experience with data analysis, SQL scripting and GIS tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate Pavement Management System software and support asset management.
- Review engineering plans, perform life-cycle cost analyses and cost estimates.
- Analyze complex data sets and develop SQL scripts; generate reports.
- Provide technical support statewide and represent ADOT in seminars.
