Job summary

H&H in Boston is seeking a Mid-Level Roadway/Transportation Engineer to join the Highway Group. You will contribute to roadway design, project engineering, client coordination, and mentoring less experienced engineers, helping deliver infrastructure projects across transportation clients.

The ideal candidate has 5–15 years of highway, interchange, and roadway design experience, a PE license (or the ability to obtain within six months), and proficiency with Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil

Qualifications

• Five to fifteen years of highway, interchange, and roadway design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Familiarity with MassDOT design standards.
• Drainage design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage small design groups and projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation roadway projects.
• Attend client project meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, manage project tasks and projects, and meet with regulatory agencies.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with other members of the design team.
• Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers in the production of plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Perform project engineering responsibilities related to project communication, scheduling, budget, and progress across multiple concurrent tasks.
• Assist with local marketing efforts, including proposal preparation, professional chapter meetings, and municipal functions and meetings.
