Job summary

Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Mid-Level Roadway Engineer to contribute to design-focused roadway projects, independently handling alignments, construction plans, and analyses under guidance of senior staff.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure quality deliverables, and grow your roadway design skills while mentoring juniors as experience grows.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of roadway engineering experience.
• PE licensure in NC or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with NCDOT design standards and plan prep procedures.
• ORD/OpenRoads Designer or 3D modeling a plus.
• Experience with City of Charlotte is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments for roadway projects.
• Prepare roadway construction plans and perform geometric analyses.
• Compute quantities, coordinate drainage, and prepare cost estimates.
• Apply NCDOT design criteria and industry best practices.
• Produce accurate, high-quality design deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff as needed.
