Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Transportation-Roadway Project Manager to join our Charlotte, NC team. You will lead a group of engineers on highway and design-build projects across North Carolina.

The role requires a PE (NC) with 10+ years in civil/transportation design, proficiency in Microstation, Geopak, and InRoads, and strong MS Word/Excel skills. OpenRoads experience is a plus and collaboration with clients and agencies is essential.

Qualifications

• Ten (10+) years of civil engineering design and/or transportation/highway experience.
• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in North Carolina.
• Proficiency in Microstation, Geopak, InRoads; strong Word/Excel.
• Experience with North Carolina DOT (NCDOT) projects.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, state and local design criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Review and certify engineering documents to meet QC goals.
• Analyze and develop alternative design solutions.
• Mentor junior staff on transportation design tasks.
• Produce construction documents, specifications and cost estimates.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, consultants, and agencies; act as liaison.
