Job summary

Consor is seeking a roadway engineering designer to support transportation improvement projects by designing and detailing roadway elements, performing geometric analyses, and aiding in design documentation and quantities. The role reports to the project manager and involves a hybrid work setting between an office and field environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification required.
• Hybrid work environment: office and field exposure may be required.
• Physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, and occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
