Job summary

CDOT is seeking Roadway Design Engineers to manage design from scoping to advertisement, including plans, specs, estimates and project oversight. You will ensure compliance with policies, coordinate with multiple agencies, and mentor team members as needed.

The role requires state or out-of-state PE licensure, strong project management and excellent communication skills, with a hybrid work arrangement after training and travel across Pueblo and region.

Qualifications

• Current, valid licensure as a Professional Engineer in Colorado or another state.
• Engineer licensure within six months of hire may be required.
• Ability to manage design processes, collaborate with stakeholders and ensure standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full design process from scoping to advertisement.
• Prepare construction plans, specs, cost estimates and project management.
• Coordinate with internal groups and external partners; perform site visits.

Professional Engineer licensure (Colorado)
