Job summary

Wood Rodgers is hiring a roadway design engineer in Orange, CA to join the Transportation Department. This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position offering growth in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

You will contribute to projects across highways, bike trails, drainage, and more while developing skills in layout, design, and technical documentation within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 0 to 5 years of experience performing the essential duties listed.
• Willingness to learn, grow, innovate, and be mentored.
• E.I.T. certification; or ability to get it within 6 months.
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and practices; AutoCAD/Civil3D and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Learn and gain valuable experience in all aspects of engineering.
• Preparation of engineering analysis, designs, and calculations for roadway systems and related structures.
• Assist with layout and plan preparation with team members.
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Participate in proposal and report writing.
• Other duties as assigned.
