Job summary

Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering firm, is hiring a roadway design engineer to join our Transportation Department in Denver, CO. This hourly, non-exempt position offers opportunities to design roadway systems and related structures under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Colorado PE license, and at least 5 years of roadway design experience, with expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and CDOT/MUTCD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience on roadway design projects.
• Expert in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design related software.
• Experience using CDOT Design Manual and MUTCD.

Responsibilities

• Design roadway system improvements and related transportation structures under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Prepare plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform technical studies and prepare technical documents such as Project Reports.
• Develop appropriate preliminary concepts and layouts.
• Oversee and mentor entry level staff.
