Job summary

GBA in Austin, TX is seeking a Civil Engineer EIT to join our Transportation Department and help design roadways across multiple offices.

You will perform geometric design, hydrology, construction sequencing, and QA/QC with a multi-disciplinary team; proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and strong communication are required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• 0-2 years of experience
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
• Possess effective communication skills both written and oral
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Synchro SimTraffic VISSIM RSAP HSM AutoTurn HY 8 HEC RAS Revu or Adobe is a plus

Responsibilities

• Geometric Design and 3D Modeling including intersection and interchange design
• Evaluation and design of multimodal facilities from planning to bidding
• Roadside Safety Evaluation and Design
• Hydrology & Hydraulic design including cross road structures
• Development of Construction Sequencing Traffic Control Plans
• Erosion Control Plans for Construction
• Quantity development and cost estimation
• Standard Specification review and development
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance
• Field Visits
• Utility Coordination
• Other duties as assigned
