Job summary

Stantec in Austin, Texas is seeking a Transportation Engineer in Training (EIT) to contribute to high-profile roadway and transit projects. You will support design efforts, model projects in MicroStation with OpenRoads, and help prepare construction documents and estimates under a licensed PE’s supervision.

Ideal candidates have a BSCE, EIT TX or ability to obtain within 6 months, and are proficient with MS Office; OpenRoads, MicroStation, and Civil 3D are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSCE required.
• EIT in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with OpenRoads, MicroStation and Civil 3D preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and interpret sketches and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway and highway geometric design.
• Model projects in MicroStation using OpenRoads.
• Prepare construction documents and cost estimates under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer.
• Perform field work to collect data or observe projects under construction.
