Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Engineer in Training (EIT) in Austin, TX to join our transportation team on high-profile projects. You will perform roadway design and model projects in OpenRoads under a licensed professional engineer's supervision.

B.S. in Civil Engineering is required. EIT in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience with OpenRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and MS Office is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum.
• EIT certification in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
• Experience with OpenRoads, MicroStation and Civil 3D is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Roadway and Highway geometric design.
• Model projects in MicroStation using the latest software (OpenRoads).
• Prepare construction documents and cost estimates under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer.
• Perform field work to collect data or observe projects under construction
