Job summary

Quality Engineering Solutions, Inc. (QES) is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors of all levels to join our team. The incumbents will monitor highway, bridge, and pavement projects to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Two years of transportation construction inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Measure and calculate quantities for project tracking.
• Perform quality control testing on highway materials (soil, concrete, asphalt).
• Associate Degree can substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience on PennDOT or Pennsylvania projects preferred.
• Occasional overtime as required by client/projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical inspections to verify contractor work aligns with plans and specs.
• Quality assurance monitoring for materials testing (soil, concrete, aggregates, bituminous products).
• Meet with project engineers/managers daily to receive instructions.
• Complete daily progress reports, cost estimates, and activity records.
• Ensure highway occupancy permits and erosion controls compliance.
