Job summary

CRH plc is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead highway construction projects in Alabama. The role involves directing planning, organizing, and coordinating complex civil works, including utility and grading, and working with state DOT representatives and consultants.

The ideal candidate will have a Construction Management degree, 3+ years of field experience on major highway projects, proficiency in scheduling tools, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Construction Management degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management.
• Experience managing a major civil highway construction project in the field and subcontract items.
• Experience using scheduling tools required.
• Personnel management and cost management experience required.
• Must have good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the job site manager, creating and managing progress to a project work schedule.
• Coordinate project subcontractors and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including DOT representatives and project management consultants.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with Owner, Prime Contractor, or Subcontractor to facilitate construction activities.
• Monitor and control construction with on-site Superintendent to ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery; implement corrective actions when needed.
• Monitor overall safety of employees on the project and MOT, and manage materials, trucking, and subcontractor work.
