Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks an experienced project manager to oversee roadway construction projects under general supervision. You will ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and standards while monitoring safety and environmental requirements.

You will inspect, verify, and coordinate with contractors and inspectors, prepare documentation, and serve as the department representative to the public and utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or construction science or equivalent.
• A motor vehicle operator's license is required.
• Experience with project management and construction inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees project management and supervisory duties for roadway construction.
• Ensures work complies with plans, specs and standards.
• Notifies contractors and RCE of deficiencies and verifies resolutions.
