The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee roadway construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and standards. You will supervise inspectors and coordinate with contractors to address deficiencies and keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• A motor vehicle operator's license is required.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours in emergencies is required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee roadway construction projects and ensure compliance with plans, specifications and standards.
• Monitor projects for deficiencies and verify timely resolutions with the Contractor and RCE.
• Inspect and sample/test requirements met or exceeded by qualified inspectors.
• Assist in resolving construction conflicts to keep projects on time and on budget.
• Prepare and verify forms, checklists, and spreadsheets for assigned projects.
