Job summary

FNF is seeking a Laborer in Abilene, TX to support journeyman trades in highway and roadway construction. You will assist with site preparation, earthwork, debris removal, and operate a range of hand and power tools while working with multiple crews on varied projects.

The role requires physical stamina, adherence to safety practices, and willingness to travel to project sites with flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to understand and follow traffic control plans and safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills to interact with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 60 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman trades with highway and roadway construction and demolition.
• Perform site prep, earthwork, trenching, and debris removal.
• Handle and carry materials up to 60 lbs; climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and handheld equipment (jackhammer, tamper).
• Support asphalt paving, concrete placement, and form work.
• Help with traffic control setup and safety procedures.
• Travel frequently to various project sites and work flexible hours.
