Job summary

FNF Construction is a general contractor seeking a General Laborer to work onsite in the Southwestern United States. The Laborer assists journeyman trades with general, highway, and landscape construction, site development, earthwork, and paving tasks, using hand tools and power tools.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to understand and follow traffic control plans and safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills to interact with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Basic knowledge of road construction safety practices and traffic laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman trades and crews with general, highway, roadway, and landscape construction and demolition projects.
• Perform site preparation, grading, earthwork, trenching, planting, sod installation, and debris removal.
• Handle and carry materials weighing up to 60 lbs; safely climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and handheld equipment such as jackhammers, tampers, and landscape machinery.
• Support asphalt paving, concrete placement, form work, turf/plant installation, and irrigation setup.
• Assist with traffic control setup, signage, and job site safety procedures.
