Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway CAD Technician to support the design and drafting of municipal and transportation projects. You will work with project managers, engineers, and design teams to refine drawings, ensure accuracy, and support project deliverables.

You will produce roadway plans and models using Civil 3D and AutoCAD, review plans for constructability, and contribute to coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD, drafting, or design technology through coursework or real projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiar with drawing standards and coordination.
• Experience in transportation design workflows, preferably TxDOT-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Review roadway, drainage, traffic control, and utility plans to develop design drawings and documents.
• Prepare and revise roadway design plans, profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models.
• Produce plan sets in coordination with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
• Develop engineering documentation including quantity calculations and exhibits for permitting and construction.
• Create and modify alignments, surfaces, corridors, and grading models using Civil 3D.
• Perform quality control of plan sets for accuracy and consistency with design standards.
• Coordinate with survey, drainage, and transportation teams to resolve conflicts throughout the project.
• Prepare construction plans and related exhibits for transportation projects.
