Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway CAD Technician to provide high-quality drafting support for municipal and transportation projects. You will review plans, prepare roadway design drawings, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and constructability.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar platforms) and TxDOT experience are preferred. You’ll contribute across the project lifecycle, from concept layouts to permitting documentation, helping deliver safe, compliant

Qualifications

• Relevant training in CAD, drafting, or design technology.
• Experience in transportation engineering preferred, especially TxDOT.
• Proficiency with CAD platforms and collaboration tools used in municipal projects.

Responsibilities

• Review roadway, drainage, traffic control, and utility plans to develop accurate design drawings.
• Prepare and revise roadway design plans, profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models using CAD software.
• Produce plan sets in coordination with engineers and design teams to ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including quantity calculations and exhibits.
• Coordinate with survey, drainage, and utility teams to integrate design elements.
