Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting seeks a Project Engineer for a major interstate widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You will manage submittals, RFIs, quantity takeoffs, and cost tracking while supporting field engineering on bridge and roadway work.

Relocation to Savannah is welcome for a multiyear assignment. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in heavy civil highway or DOT projects, a BS in Civil Engineering or related field, and familiarity with Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Basic knowledge of project scheduling with Primavera P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and help with monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
