Job summary

CTL Engineering is seeking Construction Inspectors to support ODOT roadway projects across northern Ohio. You will perform field inspection, testing, and documentation for state, county and local roadway and bridge projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

Role involves travel within the region and a mix of field and office work, with potential vehicle stipend provided. ODOT project experience is a strong plus and the team emphasizes safety and quality control across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering/construction inspection and testing
• Knowledge of highway/bridge construction standards and specs
• Ability to document findings and prepare reports
• Ability to work with field and office teams to support projects

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications.
• Read project drawings, specifications, and blueprints for roadway/bridge projects.
• Perform inspection services for state and local projects including testing.
• Verify plan quantities and maintain project records and reports.
• Notify engineers on status updates or non-conforming work.
• Possibly conduct hazardous material surveys and monitoring during abatement.
• Conduct field testing on concrete, soils, asphalt, and aggregate.
