CDM Smith is seeking an on-site inspector for transportation construction projects across multiple locations in the United States. You will perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.

Review contractor reports, verify QC procedures and material testing, and ensure conformance with plans, contracts and specifications. Travel up to 40%; a valid driver’s license and 2 years of related experience are preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications from a State Highway Agency or NICET in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete if required by jurisdiction.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency depends on duties and workload.

Responsabilidades

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Review and recommend acceptance or rejection of daily contractor reports; verify QC procedures and material testing per Quality Control Plan.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance and measure quantities of materials placed; may perform sampling and in‑place testing.
