Job summary

You will monitor contractor work for roadway, structure and bridge construction, ensure compliance with contract terms and specifications, and provide on‑site inspections and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold applicable jurisdictional certificates and meet statement requirements.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Proficiency with common software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to complete INDOT technician courses within first year.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor work for roadway, structure and bridge construction to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Ensure contractor operations comply with contract terms and specifications.
• Provide general inspection of construction labor and subcontracted tasks.
• Prepare reports on activities, labor, equipment, and material quantities received.
• Perform on-site material testing and verification; calibrate testing equipment.
• Create and maintain closeout/final construction records documents.

All required jurisdictional certificates and statement requirements

Ability to obtain all 6 INDOT Certified Technician Courses in first year of employment
