Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support project oversight on transportation sites in Asheville, NC. You'll leverage inspection expertise to ensure work meets plans and specifications while collaborating with engineers and contractors.

We value leadership, clear communication, and meticulous record-keeping as you track progress, document changes, and coordinate with utility agencies to deliver safe, durable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of construction experience.
• Experience and certifications in NCDOT inspection and materials testing preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection and quality assurance on roadway or bridge construction projects.
• Report to the resident engineer and keep good communications.
• Coordinate work with the contractor and public utility agencies.
• Maintain records and reports related to the project.
• Assist in preparing change orders and estimates; coordinate sampling and testing of materials.
• Monitor contractor progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
