Job summary

Verdantas LLC is seeking motivated individuals for the FDOT Vegetation Maintenance team in Tampa. This field-based role involves working outdoors, operating equipment, and supporting transportation and environmental infrastructure along rights-of-way and wetlands.

You will apply herbicides, trim vegetation, maintain ponds and ditches, and document daily work logs. Candidates should be prepared for physical outdoor work in hot, humid Florida and hold the necessary pesticide credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold Florida pesticide applicator credentials (listed in Bring)
• Physically demanding outdoor work.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a backpack sprayer.

Responsibilities

• Apply herbicides according to product labels and FDOT specs.
• Perform hand removal, trimming, mowing, and vegetation removal.
• Maintain stormwater ponds, wetlands, and roadside rights-of-way.
• Remove trash and unwanted vegetation; conduct field documentation.
