Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Roadside Tractor Operator to perform highway maintenance in the Treasure Coast, FL area.

You will operate tractors and mowing equipment, adhere to all applicable federal, state and local regulations, and follow Jorgensen policies and procedures throughout daily tasks. The role requires a safety-first approach, a clean driving record, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for on-call and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; physical labor may be required.
• Ability to operate tractors and mowing equipment safely.
• Must pass background and driving record checks.

Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Roadside Tractor Operator to perform maintenance operations in the Treasure Coast, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience

• At least 1 year experience operating heavy equipment including tractors and 15' mowing decks

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Small machine mowing
• Mowing/weed control
• MOT Certifications

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule: Full time; must be flexible and willing to work on-call and overtime as needed.
