Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Full-time Roadside Tractor Operator to perform maintenance operations in the Tampa, FL area.

You will operate tractors and mowing decks, adhere to safety rules, and follow federal, state, and local regulations along with company policies. The role requires flexibility for on-call and overtime, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and prior roadway maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; clean background checks.
• Experience in roadway maintenance and mowing/weed control preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment including tractors and mowing decks.
• Must pass criminal background check and have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway and roadside maintenance tasks in the Tampa area.
• Operate tractors and 15' mowing decks following safety rules.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Be flexible for on-call and overtime as needed.

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a Full-time; Experienced Roadside Tractor Operator to perform maintenance operations in the Tampa, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Small machine mowing
• Mowing/weed control
• MOT Certifications

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
• At least 1 year experience operating heavy equipment including tractors and 15' mowing decks
• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check

Schedule

Full time; must be flexible and willing to work on-call and overtime as needed.
