Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician to serve semi-truck fleets. Technicians respond to tire-related failures at the customer site, repair or replace tires, and, when idle, assist with shop duties. On-call rotation is required and premium pay applies after hours.

No prior experience is required; training is provided to develop needed skills and safety practices on the job.

Qualifications

• Experience with servicing commercial tires preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform mounting, dismounting, and tire repairs.
• Ability to inflate tires to load-specific PSI.
• Commitment to OSHA safety rules and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including; how wear proper PPE, use tire cages, and follow all other safety policies and procedures.
