Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced diesel technician for roadside service in Dallas, TX. The role involves diagnosing and repairing trucks on the road in all weather, prioritizing safety and customer service.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of tractor-trailer maintenance, a high school diploma, and shop tools proficiency. CDL with air brake certification is preferred. This full-time position may require district travel and adherence to DOT/OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications

10+ years of tractor trailer maintenance experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
Specialized training in repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
Proficiency in using shop tools required.
CDL with air brake certification preferred; U.S. domicile and state license required.

Responsibilities

Respond to road assist calls and identify parts needing replacement or warrantable repairs.
Perform diagnostics and non-road call repairs that can be dropped quickly.
Restock rapid assist vehicle with tools, parts, tires, etc.
Perform maintenance or repairs on road assist vehicle as needed.
Assist with designated in-shop repairs when not on road calls.
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
