Job summary

VCI in Pittston, PA is seeking a Service Technician to travel to client sites and provide on-site maintenance and repair for emergency vehicles and ambulances.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, air brake, suspension and lighting issues; performing repairs; documenting work electronically; and ensuring safety with DOT regulations. CDL-B is required; 3+ years repair experience preferred; physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs; willingness to be trained on forklift.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license (required).
• Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 75 lbs.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside service calls for emergency vehicles and ambulances.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal team to ensure a high level of service is delivered with each service call.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, air brake, suspension and lighting issues.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs accurately and timely.
• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of work performed and completion repair orders electronically.
• Maintain a clean, organized and well stocked service vehicle.
• Pick up and deliver emergency vehicles and ambulances to and from customer locations.
• Operate a forklift as needed (or willingness to be trained).
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report any issues.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• All other duties as assigned.
