Job summary

VCI in Berlin, NJ is seeking a service technician to travel to client sites and repair emergency vehicles and ambulances. The role requires a CDL Class B license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and independent work with strong safety awareness.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, air brake, suspension and lighting issues, perform roadside repairs, and document work orders electronically, while following DOT regulations and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years of vehicle repair/service experience.
• Experience driving emergency vehicles or ambulances is desired.
• Travel to client sites to service and repair emergency vehicles.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical/electrical/air brake/suspension issues.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside service calls for emergency vehicles and ambulances.
• Document repair work and orders electronically.
• Maintain clean, stocked service vehicle.
• Transport vehicles to and from customer locations.
• Operate forklift as needed or be willing to be trained.
• Follow safety policies and DOT regulations.
