Job summary

NETC Fleet Services in Sturbridge, MA is seeking a Road Service Technician to perform emergency roadside repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The role covers brake and electrical work, engine/powertrain repairs, and diagnostics with on-call availability and a standard 40-hour week.

The technician will test drive vehicles, ensure safety protocols, coordinate with Dispatch, Parts Counter Specialists and management, and document all work and payments promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with diesel repair certification/training.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems and diagnostics.
• Proficiency using diesel engine diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency roadside repairs and diagnostics on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Brakes, electrical work, tire removal and installation.
• Engine and powertrain repairs; troubleshoot advanced systems.
• AC and emission system maintenance; test drive vehicles.
• Obtain parts; communicate with Dispatch and management.
• Document receipts, invoices, and payments in timely manner.
• Maintain safety protocols and keep company truck clean.
• On-call availability and weekend schedule adherence.
