Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Cook to join our restaurant team at our travel centers. You will prepare and present quality food, support prep tasks, and ensure guest satisfaction for a smooth dining experience on the road.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safe food handling, and adherence to plate presentation guidelines, with opportunities for growth and a range of employee benefits. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred (not required).
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
• Perform grill cook tasks, such as setting up broiler, fryer and grill stations; prepare all products to guest specifications.
• Complete prep, freezer pull and temperature checklist sheets.
• Practice safe food handling and storage; follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations.
• Maintain equipment per operating standards.
• Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs.
• Build strong communication with leaders and co-workers.
