Job summary

Arundel County Government Department of Public Works is seeking a Full Time, permanent Roads Maintenance Supervisor to lead road maintenance crews and coordinate repair, storm drainage, and related activities.

Responsibilities include planning work, assigning tasks, supervising equipment operation, and ensuring safety and compliance. The role requires high school diploma, four years in public works maintenance, including two years supervisory experience, and valid driver's licenses.

Qualifications

• Requires four or more years in maintenance, repair, and limited construction in public works.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lay out and supervise work for a large crew.

Responsibilities

• Supervises crews engaged in road maintenance, repair, and limited construction of roads and drains.
• Oversees snow and ice control, resurfacing, and seal coating of roads.
• Supervises installation and maintenance of traffic signs, striping, and road markings.
• Manages bulk pickup programs at landfills and coordinates records and reporting.
