Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from high school or vocational school.
• Experience: Four or more years in maintenance, repair, and limited construction work in public works, including two or more years supervisory experience.
• Valid non-commercial motor vehicle operator's license; possible commercial Class B license depending on assignment.
• Safety sensitive position subject to CDS and Alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises crews engaged in maintenance, repair, and limited construction of roads, storm drains, and related facilities.
• Lays out, schedules, and assigns work; trains and assists subordinates; maintains records and reports.
• Oversees snow/ice control, road resurfacing, seal coating, and traffic sign installation.
• Inspects work in progress and upon completion; ensures public service with minimal disruption.
