Job summary

San Bernardino County Department of Public Works is seeking Maintenance and Construction Supervisors I to lead crews on maintenance, repair and minor construction projects across flood control, road, landfill and other facilities. Applications indicate preferred yards within mountain, desert or valley regions and emphasize readiness for 24-hour emergency callbacks.

The role requires a valid Class B driver’s license with tanker endorsement (and possibly Class A) and DOT drug testing; experience

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in the construction and maintenance of roadways, flood control facilities, or solid waste facilities, which includes one (1) year as a lead worker or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assign and supervise a crew in the performance of maintenance, repair and minor construction projects on flood control, road, landfill and other facilities.
