Job summary

Munters is seeking an Intermediate Field Controls Technician to support advanced cooling systems at customer sites across the U.S. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting HVAC and controls issues, traveling to sites, and solving technical challenges in the field.

You will work with Field Service Technicians, Engineering, R&D, and Operations, traveling up to 75% and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed. Excellent communication and mechanical troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of industry experience or relevant trade school/certification.
• Experience troubleshooting HVAC equipment and controls systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of HVAC components including compressors, valves, fans, and heat exchangers.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer jobsites to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC and controls issues.
• Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians onsite and remotely.
• Troubleshoot controls programs, HMI systems, and interfaces.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Support product development and testing at Munters facilities.
• Assist with prototype builds and provide feedback to Engineering and R&D.
• Participate in Kaizen and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
• Work independently while collaborating with Service, Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams.
