Job summary

Munters is seeking a Field Controls Technician to provide hands-on technical support for HVAC and control systems at customer sites, traveling as needed. You will troubleshoot controls, assist Field Service Technicians, and contribute to product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 3–5 years of industry experience, a mechanical engineering background preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in active industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting HVAC equipment and controls systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC components such as compressors, valves, fans, and heat exchangers.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer jobsites to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC and controls issues.
• Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians both remotely and onsite.
• Troubleshoot controls programs, HMI systems, and unit/system interfaces.
• Support new product development and testing at Munters facilities.
• Assist with prototype builds and provide feedback to Engineering and R&D teams.
• Participate in Kaizen and cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
• Support cost reduction and product improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise to Field Service and other internal teams.
• Work independently while collaborating with Engineering, R&D, Service, and Operations.
