Job summary

Munters Corporation in Daleville, VA is seeking a Field Controls Technician to troubleshoot HVAC and controls systems at customer sites and support field technicians both remotely and onsite. The role involves travel, prototyping, and collaboration with Engineering and R&D on new products.

You will work with HVAC components and controls, leveraging ERP/MRP or 3D CAD tools, and bring 3-5 years of industry experience along with a Mechanical Engineering degree if possible.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls systems.
• Understand HVAC components: compressors, valves, fans, heat exchangers.
• 3-5 years of industry experience; mechanical engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot HVAC and controls issues.
• Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians remotely and onsite.
• Troubleshoot controls programs, HMI systems, and unit interfaces.
• Support new product development and testing at Munters facilities.
• Assist with prototype builds and feedback to Engineering and R&D teams.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects.
• Support cost reduction and product improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise to Field Service and other teams.
• Work independently while coordinating with Engineering, R&D, Service and Operations.
